Welcome to Affordable Fence, Inc. These Terms of Service explain the general conditions that apply when you request or purchase services from us.
By accepting an estimate, signing a proposal or agreement, paying a deposit, or authorizing us to begin work, you agree to these Terms and any additional terms included in your project documents.
Affordable Fence, Inc. (“Affordable Fence,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a licensed, bonded, and insured fence contractor based in Bloomington, Indiana.
We serve residential and commercial customers throughout Monroe County and surrounding areas.

The specific scope of work, materials, pricing, and project requirements will be described in the customer’s written estimate, proposal, or service agreement.
We provide free estimates based on the information available when the property and project are evaluated.

An estimate does not guarantee a final price until the project scope and terms have been approved by both Affordable Fence and the customer.
Work may be scheduled after the customer approves the proposal and completes any required paperwork or payment.
The approved proposal will include the project-specific details and may contain additional terms that apply to the work.
If there is a conflict between these general Terms and a signed project agreement, the terms of the signed agreement will apply to that project.
Project pricing and payment requirements will be provided in the customer’s estimate or agreement.
A deposit may be required before materials are ordered or work is scheduled. The remaining balance must be paid according to the agreed payment schedule.
The customer is responsible for additional costs resulting from approved changes, undisclosed property conditions, or work outside the original scope.
Estimated start and completion dates are provided for planning purposes and are not guaranteed.
Project schedules may be affected by:
Affordable Fence will provide reasonable notice when a significant scheduling change occurs.
The customer must provide Affordable Fence and its authorized workers with safe and reasonable access to the project area during scheduled working hours.
The project area should be reasonably clear of vehicles, personal belongings, animals, and other obstructions before work begins.
The customer is responsible for confirming property boundaries and providing accurate information about the project site.
The customer must inform Affordable Fence about known:
Affordable Fence may recommend a professional property survey when boundaries are unclear. If the customer chooses to proceed without a recommended survey, the customer accepts responsibility for issues caused by inaccurate or unconfirmed boundary information.
Public utilities should be properly marked before digging begins.
The customer is responsible for identifying private utilities and systems that are not marked by public utility-location services.
Affordable Fence is not responsible for damage caused by private or incorrectly marked underground systems that were not disclosed before work began.
Unexpected rocks, roots, buried materials, unstable soil, or other hidden conditions may require additional work and charges.
Responsibility for permits, homeowners’ association approval, zoning requirements, and other necessary approvals will be identified in the estimate or agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for confirming that the planned fence complies with property restrictions, neighborhood requirements, and applicable regulations.
Fence materials may naturally vary in color, grain, texture, size, or appearance. These normal variations are not considered defects.
Material availability may affect the project schedule. If an approved material is unavailable, Affordable Fence will discuss a suitable alternative with the customer before making a substitution.
Any change to the original project scope must be approved by Affordable Fence and the customer.

Whenever reasonably possible, Affordable Fence will notify the customer before completing additional work that may result in extra charges.
Any workmanship or material warranty provided for a project will be explained in the customer’s proposal, agreement, or warranty documentation.
Manufacturer warranties may apply to certain fencing materials and products.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, warranties do not cover damage caused by:
Project cancellation terms will be provided in the estimate or agreement.
If a customer cancels after approving a project, the customer may be responsible for work already completed, materials already purchased or ordered, restocking charges, administrative costs, and other project-related expenses already incurred.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Affordable Fence’s responsibility for a verified workmanship or service issue will be limited to correcting the affected work or providing another reasonable remedy.
Affordable Fence is not responsible for delays, damage, or additional costs resulting from inaccurate customer information, unmarked private utilities, undisclosed site conditions, customer actions, third parties, or events outside our reasonable control.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
Affordable Fence and the customer agree to first attempt to resolve any concern or dispute through good-faith communication. Any unresolved matter will be handled according to applicable Indiana law.
Affordable Fence may update these Terms periodically. Changes will become effective when the revised Terms are published on our website with an updated effective date.
Updates will not replace the terms of an existing signed agreement unless both parties agree to the change in writing.
By approving an estimate, signing an agreement, paying a deposit, or authorizing Affordable Fence to begin work, the customer confirms that they have reviewed and accepted these Terms and the project-specific conditions included in their approved proposal.
